Your readers can now comment directly on your EveryCatch blog posts, reply to each other, and react, all on the same page. You can review, moderate, and respond to every comment from the new Comments tab in Blogs.
You can use comments to build a community around your content, answer questions right where they are asked, and stay in control of what appears on your blog.
What changed
Comments on every post
Add the new Comments element to your blog post page one time, and every post on that blog site will automatically show a comment section. Readers can:
- Write comments and reply to other readers
- Add emoji and attach an image
- Like or dislike any comment
- Follow threaded conversations, with Load more comments for longer threads
Easy sign-in for readers
- Returning readers sign in with their email and a one-time code, so they do not need a password
- New readers create an account in the same window, without leaving the blog post
Moderator badge
Replies from you or your team show a Moderator badge, so readers can immediately recognise which comments come from your brand.
New comments tab
You now get a dedicated Comments tab in Blogs where you can see every comment across your blog site in one place.
- View total comments, comments this month, and comments waiting for approval, each with a trend line
- Filter by status or by post, or use search to find specific comments
- Reply to, approve, or delete any comment directly from the tab
Review pending comments one by one
You can work through comments that are waiting for approval in sequence, with the full conversation visible. Reply as any author on your blog, and open the live post in a single click if you want to see it in context.
Comment settings for each blog site
- Require approval: keep new comments hidden until you approve them
- Email notifications: receive an email for every new comment, or a single daily digest
- Send notifications to: choose the team members who should receive comment emails
- Apply to all blog sites: copy the same comment settings across your account (email recipients remain specific to each site)
How to use this feature
- Go to Sites → Blogs and open the blog site you want to update
- Open the blog post page in the builder
- Add the Comments element and style it so it matches your site
- Save and publish your changes
- Manage comments and settings from the Comments tab
Why it matters
- Turn one-time readers into an engaged community around your content
- Answer customer questions in public, as your brand
- Keep full control over what appears on your site
- Keep posts active as conversations grow, with comments that search engines can index
Notes
- Comments are enabled for an entire blog site, not per post. If you remove the Comments element, it removes comments from every post on that site
- Readers can attach one image per comment
- Anyone can read comments; readers sign in to comment, reply, like, or dislike
- Comments do not yet appear in Conversations, and commenters are not yet added to Contacts
