How we calculate these estimates

The figures are based on research into lead response rates and follow-up effectiveness, applied conservatively to your inputs. The calculator uses a baseline close rate of 28% for properly reached and followed-up inbound enquiries, which aligns with typical service business conversion data for qualified inbound leads.

Response time affects how many of your inbound leads you actually reach before they move on. The Lead Response Management study and subsequent research consistently show that the probability of contacting a lead drops sharply as response time increases. The calculator applies a "potential captured" multiplier: within 1 hour captures approximately 75% of reachable potential; same-day response captures around 35%; next-day or later captures around 20%.

Follow-up consistency affects how many reached leads eventually convert.
