Rich text formatting improvements on the mobile apps
Edit on mobile, look great everywhere
Your formatted notes, emails, and tasks now keep the same layout whether you work in EveryCatch on the web or on your phone. You avoid broken spacing, missing blank lines, and layout changes when you switch devices.
The challenge
You take time to format emails and notes on the web, then open them on your phone for a quick edit and suddenly spacing changes, quotes split apart, blank lines disappear, or an email snippet causes issues in the composer. Moving between web and mobile has often meant extra cleanup before you can send or save your work.
Our solution
From app version v4.14, the rich text editor keeps formatting consistent across web and mobile. Content you create on the web now stays intact when you open, edit, and save it on mobile, and the same is true in reverse. Line spacing, block quotes, blank lines, mixed formatting, and email snippets remain stable across devices.
How this helps your business
- Save time: Avoid redoing formatting each time you move between web and mobile.
- Send more professional emails: Contacts see clean, consistent spacing instead of dense blocks of text or unexpected gaps.
- Work confidently on the go: Safely edit snippets and templates from your phone without worrying about damaging your layouts.
- Reduce support friction: Cut down on “my note looks broken” issues for your team and clients.
- Keep your content consistent: Colors, quotes, headings, dividers, and other rich formatting keep their structure when you switch devices.
How to get started
- Update the app: Install v4.14 or later on iOS or Android.
- Open any existing note, email, or task that you originally formatted on the web.
- Edit and save on mobile. When you reopen it on any device, the formatting will remain consistent.
Rich text works in contact notes, conversations (emails), tasks, appointment notes, invoice terms, and any other area that uses the shared rich text editor in EveryCatch.
Next up, we are continuing to close the remaining gaps between web and mobile editing, including better handling of complex tables, deeply nested lists, and styling for advanced merge tags. Rich text parity across devices is an ongoing focus, and v4.14 is a significant improvement in that direction.

Good to know
- Complex layouts: Some tables or very deeply nested lists may still appear slightly simplified on mobile compared to web. This is expected in this version.
- Unusual web fonts: Custom or uncommon fonts may use a fallback font on mobile, but your content and structure will remain the same.
- Task rich text: Rich text descriptions for tasks were introduced in v4.13, and v4.14 improves how closely they match web formatting.
