Instagram unified onboarding (instagram direct connection)
Instagram unified integration is now available in Labs. You can now connect your Instagram accounts directly to EveryCatch without needing a linked Facebook Page. This gives you more flexibility in how you connect and manage Instagram, and it prepares your account for upcoming Instagram-native features that will only work with the direct connection flow.
What changed
- A dedicated Instagram integration card is now available under Settings → Integrations
- You have a centralized view of all Instagram accounts connected to EveryCatch
- Support for both connection types in one place:
- Direct Instagram connections
- Facebook Page based Instagram connections
- A Messaging & automations toggle for each account, so you can control Instagram messaging and automations at the account level
Supported capabilities
- Sync Instagram Direct conversations into the EveryCatch CRM
- Create and manage contacts directly from Instagram conversations
- Trigger workflows and automations from Instagram interactions
- Handle Instagram conversations alongside your other messaging channels in EveryCatch
You can turn this on in Labs under labs → Instagram direct integration. After you enable the Labs feature, go to settings → integrations → Instagram to set up your connections.
Important notes
- Existing Facebook Page based Instagram connections will continue to work as they do today.
- When you enable a direct connection for an Instagram account, EveryCatch automatically turns off the toggle for any page based connection for that same account.
- If an Instagram account is connected through a Facebook Page, you cannot disconnect only the Instagram account. You need to disconnect the associated Facebook Page first.
- If you switch an Instagram account between Facebook Page based and direct connection, your existing workflows and automations will keep working as long as the same Instagram account remains connected.
- If you turn off the Messaging & automations toggle for an Instagram account, both Instagram messaging and any related automations for that account will stop.
- Direct Instagram connection will be required for some upcoming Instagram-native features, such as DM to followers and Poll reply handling.
Why this matters
- Instagram is a key channel for communication and lead generation, and direct Instagram integration in EveryCatch gives you:
- Greater flexibility in how you connect and manage your Instagram accounts
- Better visibility into which Instagram accounts are connected
- A simpler setup that does not rely on Facebook Page connections
- Support for upcoming features like Follow-to-DM and Poll Reply automations as Meta releases them
- A solid base for future Instagram messaging and automation improvements inside EveryCatch
- Compatibility with future enhancements and beta features from Meta that require direct Instagram connections.
Next step: Once Meta releases DM to follower capability, direct Instagram connection in EveryCatch will allow you to take advantage of it quickly.
